Reasoning System Rscale

Within a semantic solution pure data will be enriched with a Knowledge Net. The latter is the input to a logical reasoning process able to derive knowledge out of data. Rscale is such a high-performance reasoning and storing system for Knowledge Nets. The system implements reasonings mechanisms which automatically make implicit relationships available, detect inconsistencies, and provide a query endpoint suitable to build a knowledge-aware application.

Scalable and Dynamic Knowledge Store

Rscale is explicitly designed to process large Knowledge Nets following the OWL 2 RL language fragment. The system is optimized for dynamic, i.e. continuously updated, Knowledge Nets as well as high query load within a client-server setting. The underlying approach combines methods from Artificial Intelligence (AI) with relational database (RDB) techniques. Rscale supports the Java based OWL API as well as the standardized OWLlink protocol.
