The Semantic Mashup Framework Jigs

Jigs is our semantic mashup framework for the quick and individual creation of Web-based semantic applications. Jigs enables colleagues and customer of a company to take an active part in managing and using knowledge. This approach is extremely fast, up-to-date and efficient since acquisition and utilization of knowledge is done locally and demand driven.

Jigs4OWL

Jigs4OWL combines Web 2.0 with semantic methods based on Knowledge Nets according to the W3C Standard OWL 2. Customizable widget templates allow for building flexible and demand-oriented semantic applications with a few lines of JavaScript code without the need of setting up or maintaining a semantic backend.

Jigs4RDFS

This variant of the framework is currently under development and is especially tailored towards the requirements of semantic applications based on RDF(S) and RDFa. Within this domain are many data sources of the Linked Open Data (LOD) initiative or data which follow formats such as Friend-of-a-Friend (FOAF), GoodRelations, etc.
